PHR - Personal Health Records

What are people's thoughts about PHR's?  Specifically, do you think the strategy is going to be for each entity or health system to create/manage their own PHR, or for will we all end up using one of the large, national PHR's (Google Health, for example)?

I see vendors pushing PHR's as addons for their own systems, but this seems short-sighted to me.  Don't you think the consumer would prefer one big PHR that is populated by all of the different entities that they receive healthcare from?

Or will HIE's play some role in this that will make it irrelevant which PHR is used?
