Finally! Patient Access is recognized as a large part of Patient Accounting!

We are seeing it with our clients and national studies have shown that "Patient Access" (Registration) is finally recognized by Hospital Management as an important part of Patient Financial Services!  Gone are the days of minimal staffing at the "front end" and catch-up at the back end!  We are seeing that at least 50% (sometimes more) of the PFS Staff is assigned to Patient Access functions.  Makes you wonder if there is a connection... Because, believe it or not, "days outstanding" overall in the industry are going down and not up!
